1. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how Coasio handles personal information when coaches and clients use the Coasio mobile or web application. A coach may also be responsible for how they use their clients’ information under applicable law.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account and contact information, such as your name and email address; profile information, such as height, goals and preferred units; workout programs, completed sets, repetitions, weights, exercise history and personal records; progress measurements and check-ins; nutrition targets, food entries and quantities; notes and messages; and photos, audio or other files you choose to upload. We also receive basic technical information needed to authenticate you, operate the service, diagnose errors and protect accounts.
3. How information is collected
Information is provided by you, entered by your coach on your behalf, created when you use the app, or received from service providers that support authentication, storage and delivery. Coasio does not use barcode scanning or automatic food-photo recognition.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; connect a client with their coach; deliver programs, tasks, check-ins and messages; record workouts and nutrition; display progress and history; provide exports and support; maintain and improve reliability; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations. Coasio does not sell personal information or use health and fitness data for advertising.
5. Coach and client visibility
Clients can see information assigned or recorded for their account. Their assigned coach can see the information needed to provide coaching, including workout results, progress measurements, check-ins, food logs, uploaded photos, notes and messages. Information is not intended to be visible to unrelated coaches or clients.
6. Health and fitness information
Workout, body-measurement, nutrition and progress information may be sensitive. We use it only to provide the coaching and progress features described in this policy. Coasio is a fitness coaching tool and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
7. Photos, microphone and files
Coasio requests access to photos, the camera or microphone only when a feature needs it and you choose to use that feature, such as adding a progress photo, meal photo, attachment or voice message. You can change device permissions in iOS or Android settings. Removing device permission does not automatically delete content already uploaded.
8. Service providers and disclosure
Coasio uses Supabase and related hosting, database, storage and authentication services to operate the app. These providers process information on Coasio’s behalf. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not share personal information with advertising networks for targeted advertising.
9. Storage, security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to applicable legal protections.
10. Retention
We retain information while it is needed to provide the service, preserve workout and coaching history, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted or anonymized. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or records that must be retained by law.
11. Your choices and rights
You can permanently delete your account in the app: clients open You > Delete account; coaches open Home > Settings > Delete account. You can also choose Delete an existing account on the sign-in page, including if access is paused or onboarding is unfinished. Confirm your email and password and the permanent-deletion warning. Deletion removes your login, profile, associated personal records, conversations and uploaded files from the active service. Deleting a coach does not delete clients’ accounts or their completed workout, food, measurement and check-in records, but removes the coach’s relationships and assigned plans; coach-uploaded files may also be removed. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or records required by law. A paused or archived status is not deletion. Deletion does not cancel a separate payment agreement with a coach. You may also request access, correction or export through Coasio support, and exercise other rights available under applicable law.
12. Children
Coasio is not directed to children under 13. If a minor is permitted to use the service, the coach and account holder are responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable law. If we learn that information was collected from a child without required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Coasio changes. The latest version will be published at this address with a revised date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide additional notice where required.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, access, correction, export or deletion requests, email Coasio at support@coasio.com. Clients may also contact their coach, who can forward a request to Coasio. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in your message.
Current help and account-deletion instructions are available on our support page.
